I cannot get both my personal and Business accounts to show up in Windows file explorer
Have just purchased two new machines and am being driven nutts by Dropbox. I have a business and a personal account. On my prior machines both appeared in File Explorer. With them linked or unlinked, I can only get one to appear. HAve Dropbox seriously removed this feature? If not, how can I get both to appear?

Sorry to hear about this, Clinton2.
If you go to the "account" tab of your Dropbox preferences, are you able to link your second account there?
If not, can you confirm that they're paired in your account settings on dropbox.com?
Let me know and we'll go from there.
- Clinton32 years agoExplorer | Level 3Yes, they are linked and i’ve tried with Linked and not Linked. I dont seem to see Preferences, only Settings. I may be looking in the wrong place?

Hmm, are you looking at the desktop app preferences?
You can find them, by clicking on the Dropbox icon in your system tray, then on your initials/profile pic and then on "preferences".

Clicking the Dropbox icon in the system tray does nothing and I understand that the windows app was withdrawn. however, I did download what claimed t be the app and it installed but the only thing I can do is go to file explorer and open dropbox from there. From there, I can confirm that the Personal and Business accounts ARE linked and I have tried unblinking and linking. But, when signed into either, I an go to settings and see preferences ... but nothing that adds the second account to file explorer.

I have installed Dropbox and checked that it is running. It does not show in the system tray. Also, when I go to Dropbox.com, and click on the id circle, I do not see PREFERENCES but I see Preferences if I click on SETTINGS first. Just above Preferences, it shows that my two accounts re linked. Please also note that I have two Dropbox entries in File Explorer on my other machine ... that makes this even more odd.

Hey Clinton3 - sorry to jump in here, but could you ensure that you're logged into the same account on both of your new computers and clarify if you see the option to link another account in the app's preferences?

So i had the same issue as Clinton2. I had to wipe windows because of Bitlocker. The icon was in system tray and was able to finally get the personal on windows along side the business account. The default DB instructions to get his done are not clear at ALL imo. You find yourself going around in circles. Pictures would be helpful for idiots like myself...thanks
