6 digit code required to login, is sent to an email address I can no longer access
Hello,
I haven't login my dropbox account (not this account asking the question, but the other account) for a long time, and when I try to login it requires the 6-digits code sent to my email address, however, my email address has expired, because I left my previous institute. So my situation can be summarized in the following:
1. email address linked to the account is not accessible, by no chance it can be recovered.
2. I have no device with the account login
3. I have the password for my dropbox account
What can I do to recover my account?
BTW, I am still paying for the professional plan!!
Without access to the email address or a device logged in there is no way to recover it. All you can do is contact support and ask them to stop future payments.
You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums , and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

I need to access and old Dropbox account. I know the email/username and the password but when I try to log in, it sends a code to the email and I no longer have access to that email. How can I access my documents?

Hey MKendle, thanks for reaching out to our Community.
Generally, if you don't have access to the email address, there's not much we can do to help you regain access to the Dropbox account linked to it.
Is it possible that you might have any devices linked to that account, that might have received the 6 digit code notification?
Or is it perhaps possible to regain access to the email address?

Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately, I can not regain access to that email.

Hi MKendle, in order to see what can be done, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
- MKendle3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Nope, company associated with the old email no longer exists.

In that case, you'll need to contact the team by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link.
From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter an email you can access, and then submit the request. Afterwards, let us know the ticket ID from the automated email response.

I have the ticket ID. Do you want me to post it here?

Hey MKendle, sorry to jump in here, but I wanted to mention that yes, you can share your ticket ID here with us.
This will help us locate it in our system.
