You'll be unable to use the email of the 2nd created Dropbox account. That email is now out of action for you. I realize it may not be the ideal outcome, but is it completely out of the question to keep your original account with the original email address its connected with?

Dell_Dropbox, has this changed recently? In the past, as long as you deleted the Dropbox account, you could (almost immediately) re-use the email address from the deleted account on another account. If this is no longer the case, why the change in functionality?

I assumed that email needed to be a valid one so that Dropbox could contact me if necessary?
