Solved

real person verification wont let me in

When I try to login to my account  the real person verification pops up. I then solve the puzzles and it confirms that I am a real person. It then disappears but instead of logging  into my account the Real person verification comes back. I have tried so many times and are stuck in a loop. Trying the voice version it now tells me I have tried too many times and forces me back to that stupid matching  puzzle. WTF can I do to get in!

I have tried on different computers, different operating systems and browsers

  • Hi adamvnz, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?

Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.

Keep me updated with any progress!

I had the same problem today.  Tried all the fixes I could find...chrome, edge; incognito; restart the computer even.  Unfortunately, you have to be logged in to use some of them.  I had the dice come up multiple times, and after giving a 1-satr in feedback, I finally got a different Verification set of images to use which got me in.  Then I went back to having problems.  My short-term solution is just to stay logged in.  Would be nice to see Dropbox fix this glitch.

    what worked for me.

I just downloaded the app without attempting to sign in.

    THEN I signed in.

(none of the incognito, browser switching etc had any impact.)

Why can you guys not sort this out! This is **bleep** I am so pissed by this stupid cappa thing which any **bleep**in computer halfwit should have sorted. If you cant sort this simple security issue How the hell can we trust you to fix something more major. I first made you aware of this 6 months ago

This is still an issue. I've tried every tip on here and can't get passed the security screening.  In addition, your customer support is so difficult to get a hold of we are moving away from your service next year. Absolute joke

Hey TheFoxandTheSea, sorry to hear about this.

Can you please clarify what troubleshooting steps you've attempted so far so that we can make sure we're on the same page?

For  example, what browsers are you using and what kind of devices and networks?

Everyone listed in this tread, not going to recap for you - dropbox's lack of chat support and clear paths to support have already taken too much of my time.

Hi TheFoxandTheSea, I'm assuming you've tried multiple browsers too.

What happens if you try to access your account from an incognito mode though? Does it change the situation, or you still can't get through the puzzle?

Do you have access to your account at the moment?
