After uninstalling the app, the drop box icon stays in my file explorer

and this is the error that comes when  i click on it

Hi @usman4, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

Could you try rebooting your computer to see if this removes the old Dropbox shortcut?

no nothing happens after i restart my computer

Could you try following these steps in the advanced reinstallation (without getting to the installation stage) to see if this removes the icon?

no i have tried these steps twice and they dont remove the icon

Could you try installing the app, and not sign into any account or set it up, and then try uninstalling it again?

okay so i did that and it removed it for a day. it reappeared again today

Hey there @usman4, sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify if you had installed the desktop app with admin privileges in the first place?

 

Are you still getting the same error after rebooting your computer?

i get the folder after rebooting and i do not know if i installed with admin priviliges
