Can't edit powerpoint files in dropbox folder

Can't edit powerpoint files in dropbox folder

Hi, we have a dropbox team folder. In it, I uploaded a powerpoint that I want to be able to work on collaboratively with others. However, the "open in powerpoint for web" option takes me to a loading animation and then the following "Oops, something went wrong."

I have tried restarting chrome (no benefit). Doing this in microsoft edge just takes me to an empty browser window. I have tried resetting and updating both browsers, as well as using them in incognito modes. Any helpful thoughts/solutions would be appreciated.

Hey @keeg93, I hope you're having a great day so far.

If you have a Dropbox Business account, you will need an enterprise Microsoft account with a license that allows editing in Office Online (Business, Business Premium, ProPlus, E3, E4, or E5).

Can you confirm you have one?

Let's also try one more thing: Can you disconnect the Microsoft Office Online integration by going here, and then trying to re-connect the two?

Keep me posted on how this goes!

Hi Lori,

Thanks for the tips. I do indeed have an enterprise account (Office 365 ProPlus as a service agreement with my university and medical center).

I disconnected integrations with office and powerpoint. I went to the file, tried again, re-accepted integration, and it worked.

Thank you for your time,

Eric
