Can't open Word Files online after uploading in Dropbox (Mac)

Can't open Word Files online after uploading in Dropbox (Mac)

Hello.

I downloaded a .doc file from Dropbox on my Macbook Pro.

Then, i worked on the file, changed its name and content. I then uploaded it on Dropbox (same folder as the downloaded file) but when i tried to open it from the Dropbox site, it gave me an error: "files .doc are supported, but an error occurred". If i try to open it with Microsoft Word Online, it says that the file is corrupted. Are the two .doc colliding with each other? However, they are no longer the same document. Thanks in advance

Hi there @alessandrofola, I hope you're well today!

To be able to open the file within the MS Office Online apps, the file would need to be .docx file type.

Can you try changing the file extension to this and see if you can open the file without any errors?

Let me know how it goes!
