I just uploaded a video to share from my Dropbox and saw the transcription ability had been added. I tried it out and it worked well but it made several
important errors in words - combining sounds creating wrong words, misspelling names and sounds like errors. There were only a few but they were
important for anyone needing captions. I tried to find a way to edit the transcription but could not find one. I did find that in Feb of 2023 someone
complained that they could not edit a transcription and was told that there was no way to do that. Since every auto-transcription always contains some errors this makes it completely unusable. It is bizarre to have a worthwhile item added and then not make it completely functional. Please fix this.
Hey @jaflady, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Editing the transcription is indeed not possible at the moment, but we really appreciate your feedback on this feature.
Would it be possible to send us some examples of those errors in a screenshot perhaps?
Thanks!

I'm running into a similar issue with an additional wrinkle: During the auto-transcribing process and through whatever software/AI algorithm that drives the process, I'm seeing English language videos sporadically but automatically translated into different Asian languages, which I didn't even know was an option (and doesn't seem to be one since there are no settings controls related to languages that I can find). This makes the final transcription essentially useless for me since my intended audience does not read Japanese (the first time the issue popped up) or Malay (the second time it happened). The most frustrating part of all of this is that once a transcription is decided upon by the AI, you're stuck with it. You can't edit. You can't delete it and start over. Your video is now permanently stuck with a deeply flawed transcription that can't be used.
If including some sort of setting that defines a strict language output is difficult at this stage, how about incorporating at least a feature that allows the user to toss out a particularly troublesome transcription and give the AI another run at it?
i have the same issue, am in Singapore, video audio is English but only Malay is shown, i cannot find the option to change back to English
