Dropbox preferences not showing on Mac OS Ventura

Dropbox is running and syncing on Ventura. This is a machine that I've upgraded to Ventura.

 

I want to change some sync settings, but selecting "Preferences" from the Dropbox menu won't show the "Preferences" menu. 

 

I've rebooted. Re-installed Dropbox. Disabled "Bartender." All to no avail.

    After playing with this problem for a couple of days, it looks like it was caused by Dropbox opening (already opened?) a Preferences screen on another Workspace.

     

    Sorry about the interruption...
