Hello I saved an “avi” video file to my iPhone from the Dropbox app (Save to device). Where do I find the file? I looked in “Files” and “Photos” but can not find it. Any help is appreciated!!

Hi @arlie14, and welcome to our forum!

If I get this right, you’ve checked the Photo Gallery of your iPhone, and there’s no trace of the exported file, correct?

Do you, by any chance, see an Albums section there, as well? There should be a Videos tab there, where you may be able to locate your video file.

Let me know what you find.

Thank you for your help!! In my Photos, I do see a “Dropbox” album but it’s empty. I’m thinking the issue is that iPhones can not play “avi” files so that’s why it’s not showing up bc the file type is incompatible. What do you think?

Hey @arlie14, how are you?

Can you open your Photos app, then go to 'My albums' and check the 'Recents' one, to see if the video was saved there?

Yes I have looked in all the folders, including “recents” and “videos”. No such luck on finding the “avi” video file. 😞
Thank you for your help.

Hi @arlie14, sorry to jump in here.

Have you checked, to make sure your iPhone has enough space in order to export the file? Also, if I were you, I'd try rebooting the device and then repeat the export process once again.

Let me know the results.
