Photos not showing on Windows 10 in specific folder

Photos not showing on Windows 10 in specific folder

I have the DropBox app downloaded on Windows 10.  There are several folders with different projects, some of the folders I can view the photos and others, it show there are photos but wont let me view them.  If I try to download these photos, it says the photos have been saved but doesn't download them.

If I select the photos or sub-folders within the folders I'm having issues with and, either move or copy to one of the other folders I'm not having issues with, I can then view the photos and download them.

I can see these photos on my phone app and on the web browser, just not in the Windows 10 app.

Hi @jloar, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you attach a screenshot showing the error or messages you're getting regarding these images?

This will help me to assist further!

Jay,

I'm not getting an error message. This is what I see in the folder I'm having trouble viewing:

If I download a single photo, this is what's displayed when I try to open it on my computer:

If I try to download multiple selected photos, it says the files have been saved but does not save anything in my selected folder.

However, if I move or make a copy of the folder, and place it in a folder I don't have issues with, I can then view the photos:

I appreciate you taking time to look into this.  My work around it to transfer everything into a temp folder but it's not ideal.

Hi @jloar, sorry to jump in here, and thanks for the screenshots!

That is indeed really odd. Can you clarify if this happens in the AT&T KC folder only? Also, if you right click on any example file in said folder, what options do you see there?

Also, if you hover your mouse over the little Dropbox icon on your task bar, what is the version that you have installed there?

Well, I'm not sure what changed but I renamed the folder from KC to KS and it shows the photos now.  I changed it back to KC and I could still see the photos.  Not sure why this happened but it at least it's working properly now.
