Dropbox Plan: Plus Payment Method: Card Today, dropbox sent me the following message: āRomanos, we couldnāt process your payment. Update your billing information now before you lose accessā. Indeed, I have found that dropbox has not debited the amount owed from my bank card for February and they claim that they are unable to do so. They asked me to update my payment details, but every time I try to do so, I get the following error message: āError in call to API function /2/checkout/update_billing_infoā. However, the problem does not lie on my side. In other words, my bank card is active and capable of online transactions, while the bank I contacted does not recognize any problem on its side. In other words, there has been no call from dropbox to pay my monthly subscription for February. Hi everyone, Iām posting here because Iām currently blocked from working due to a Dropbox account issue and Iām looking for advice or similar experiences. Hereās what happened, step by step: I had a personal Dropbox Essentials account I was temporarily added to a Dropbox Business team As expected, Dropbox automatically cancelled my personal plan I was then removed from the team and converted back to a personal account Since then, my account is stuck in a Basic state Now the critical part: I tried to upgrade back to a paid plan twice Both times the bank confirmed payment authorization Dropbox shows errors like āinvalid valueā The plan is not activated I can access files via browser, but local sync and shared-folder workflows are broken, which effectively blocks my work and my Basic account does not have enough storage for my files It looks like the account is in a corrupted state between Team billing and Personal billing. Iāve already opened a support ticket, but in the meantime: Has anyone experienced this exact Team ā Personal ā Basic limbo? Is there a known fix besides waiting for manual intervention? (Via the Dropbox website) Question or Issue Whenever I try to add new teams or try to deactivate my Dropbox free trial, I only got "Something went wrong on our end. Close and try again.". Before this occurred, I started a 10 TB free trial, only to get 200 GB. Hello, I have recently bought a seagate external storage that included a 180 day Dropbox Backup Plan. However, whenever I try to follow the steps to start the trial to upgrade my account, after putting all of my payment method information, I get immediately redirected to the dropbox home page with a red message at the top of saying "Couldn't start trial due to technical error". I've tried doing it on different browsers, looked online for help but cannot find anything, and since technically my account is still on a "basic plan", there is no way for me to contact support. Quicken offers a coupon for 5GB free Dropbox storage for Quicken subscribers. However, upon submitting the code, Dropbox says my code has already been used. This seems to be a common issue as there are many similar posts in the Dropbox Community, but without resolution. Some say they chatted with Dropbox Support, but I don't find a channel for contacting Dropbox directly. I could really use the additional 5GB of Dropbox storage.
