722 Topics"Disable downloads" feature not working on the desktop app
Hi, I have the essentials plan but I do not have the feature to disable downloads. I have the "allow downloads on dropbox.com" toggled off(see picture) but that doesn't work because someone can still download it. Can someone point to me where is this "disable download" feature that I see online? Does it even exist within my current plan? Any help would be greatly appreciated.38Views0likes4CommentsWhy was my sharing paused?
Dropbox Plan - Basic/Free Device - Mac Studio Operating System/Browser (if using the web). - Mac OS 15.7.2 / Safari Question or Issue I've been using Dropbox for 10 yrs or more and never ran into this problem. I need to share a folder of images and I'm getting this message "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity. For details or to contact support..." Why am I getting this message??? I've only used 1.9GB of the 3.25GB given. I've emptied the "deleted files" folder. I discovered in the "Shared" option that there are Lots of folders, but there's no way of deleting them (though I had previously deleted them). The only option that I've found is to "Join Folder" which I don't want to do. 1 - are they taking up unnecessary space in my Dropbox? 2 - do I need to get rid of them, and if so, how? I need to get this resolved ASAP. Thanks for the help.24Views0likes1CommentUsers downloading a file from a dl=0&raw=1 shared link get a 0 bytes download

Russia has shut off virtually all social networking applications in Ukraine. If I share a directory with my fiance through Dropbox will she be able to see it? When she gets an email will there be a link inside it to the Dropbox entry? Has anyone sent files or folders to someone in Ukraine?38Views0likes6Comments"You don't have access" error on shared link I created to a shared folder years ago
For the company I work for, I created a shared DropBox folder back in 2013. I setup a Bitly shortened link for it so that anyone with this link can download and copy from our DropBox. They can not edit or upload. I will not post post the link here. Today I clicked the Bitly link and got a DropBox error page. I logged into Bitly, found the shortcut, and copied the original DropBox URL it was pointing to and tried it directly. Same error, so I CAN'T blame Bitly. The DropBox error says: -------------------\ You don't have access You can ask the person who shared the link to invite you directly. Just so you know, you're signed in as xxxxx@xx.com. ---------------------/ The email address on the error is the one I use to log into DropBox. My profile icon is on the top-right of the page showing me I'm logged in. I am the only admin. I can click my icon and get to my home page and access the shared folder without problem. But no matter what browser I use, incognito mode or not, I can not get to the share to work directly. I tried using an alternate shortcut using a different shortening service that I had created in recent years. That worked! I logged into that service and got the DropBox URL is was pointing to and compared it to the non-working one. The DropBox URL that worked is about twice as long as the one from 2013 that doesn't work. The one that worked is in the form of a query sting with "?" and "&" characters. The one that is broke is just a string of characters and forward slashes. So, what changed on DropBox that the old share URL doesn't work? Is there anyway to get it to work?49Views0likes2Comments
