Downloaded music is not playing correctly on the iOS mobile app
Hi...I use Apple 11 pro max and have some downloaded music from across the years, a few weeks ago I noticed 2 songs glitching away and was seriously upset...someone here posted clear cache, tried it with no success...make available offline option being on or off, makes no difference...I'm not very tech savvy so the thought of deleting and re-downloading dropbox, gives me a fright...so ummmm help required, please!

Hey Mamito, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
You're referring to audio files that you've added to your Dropbox account and are trying to play them within the Dropbox app, right?
If clearing the cache didn't help, can you try saving the files to the device and see if they play okay there?
Keep me posted.

Yes, I'm referring to audio files that I have saved to dropbox and I am playing the same using dropbox app.
I tried saving and renaming it to dropbox and my phone too...it played well the first time and then (just when I was rejoicing) promptly glitched in the same place, the second time:( - Megan2 years ago

Hi Mamito, it's rather odd that this happened when you downloaded the file too.
That would indicate that the file is downloaded that way.
Have you tried previewing these files online on the web? If not, can you give it a go?

The download is not a new one, some 2 or even 3 years old but has started glitching some 2-3 weeks ago.
The online music works just fine, it's just my downloaded songs that are glitching. - Nancy2 years ago

Hi from me as well, Mamito! Just to clarify, is this only happening with these 2 files you mentioned in the beginning, or with any audio file you’ve saved on your Dropbox account?
Besides downloading the songs to your mobile device, did you also download them locally on your computer (outside of the local Dropbox folder), and it didn’t make a difference either?
- Mamito2 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi Nancy, very kind of you all to respond so fast Hannah, Megan!
It's just these 2 songs which glitch...the remaining downloaded music works just fine, touchwood 🙂
My music is saved only on my mobile (Apple 11 pro max) on the dropbox app. - Megan2 years ago

Happy Tuesday Mamito!
It sounds like the files might be uploaded that way, especially if you notice the same behavior when downloading them locally.
If I were you, I'd try to check for a previous version of that content to see if it changes anything.
Also, you mentioned that when you renamed it, they played without an issue at the beginning. May I ask the size of the files?
Have you tried switching to either a different network, or cellular data?
