Excel files automatically open as Google Sheet on site
Hi Everyone,
When viewing an excel sheet in Dropbox it automatically opens as a Google Sheets doc.
Also when you share the link, anyone clicking it will automatically see it a Google Sheets doc.
Is there a way to set it to Microsoft 365 as default?
I have changed the settings in the Default Editing Apps section to "excel for the web" but that doesn't seem to fix it.
The reason why I'd like to change it, is because I use the European date-notation (DD/MM/YYYY) in my documents and Dropbox/Google Sheets sets it to the US notation (MM/DD/YYYY). When sharing the documents with others, I really want to avoid any confusion.
Thanks!
Sam

EDIT: It is not Google Sheet it opens in, but the 'Dropbox preview'.

Hi Sam Bestov, thanks for messaging the Community!
Could you doublecheck again the setting you have on this page for default editing apps on your account?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
Thanks for reaching out, for Word & Excel the settings are:
"Word on the web"
"Excel on the web"
Powerpoint I didn't change yet.
Best
Sam
