How to change the divider online lower, so that I can see all of my content?

On the left side it shows my folders, or a few of them. Then it shows Recents Starred....  I'd like to be able to move then divider way lower so I could see my list of folders and files. In other words,  I want quicker access to what I have saved.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Also, how do I get DB back in the Mac Sidebar? It is in the Go Menu, but it used to be in the sidebar.

  • Hey Irene!

Dropbox might not appear in your Favorites any more, but it should still appear on your sidebar, in Locations, would you mind checking?

Hi irenesf, happy Monday, thanks for posting here!

In regards to the divider on the website, at the moment there's no way to adjust that. I will pass on your comments to the relevant departments so that we can further improve.

Now onto the desktop app. Do you see your small, Dropbox related icon next to your WiFi icon; that would indicate the app is installed, and running? Have you tried re-installing the app, by any chance?

    Keep me posted!

I have the Dropbox Icon in the Menu Bar although not next to the Wifi symbol.

How would I reinstall DB? I am deathly afraid to delete it from Apps which I assume would be necessary after I finally got everything properly arranged after discovering the new location in Library. Since It is in the Menu Bar and in the Go Menu, is there any way to get it back to the sidebar without deleting the App as a prelude to reinstalling?

Hey irenesf, sorry to jump in here.

It looks like your Dropbox application was updated to the new Dropbox for macOS app.

After this update, your Dropbox folder was moved to ~/Library/CloudStorage, which is not something that can change.

We appreciate your feedback on this, though, and I will make sure it's passed along to our team.

Yes, it definitely is the new one. My question is can I get a link to DB in the sidebar?

It did mot. But, although iCloud and Google Drive showed, I noticed that a box called Cloud was not checked. I checked that and—voila— Dropbox is back!

Using the ridiculous web user interface on a laptop screen is useless. The huge SEARCH, +Create / Upload and other needless junk on top takes up so much real estate that I see only 4 lines of files/folders!!

How do I customize the UI and get rid of that needless junk?
