I can't download files on the Android mobile app
I'm able to download from the web version, but starting this morning (June 24, 2025) I can not download from the mobile app.
I can upload and do everything else from my phone (Samsung S24 Ultra), but it says "error downloading xxx filename". I though I could add a screenshot but I don't see any way to do so. I already tried uninstall and reinstall with no luck.

I am having the same issue. Thought it was my new phone. Already uninstalled and restarted, didn't fix it.

Hi Mikeylectro, bennymac, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you first try clearing the cache, and then uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?
Keep me updated with any progress!

I'm on basic with 3 devices. I did it anyways and it's still not working.

Hey Jay,
Thank you for your response. I cleared cache, uninstalled app, restarted phone, then reinstalled app. Same issue. I recently got a new phone, but deleted my other device. It was working yesterday (on new phone) with out issue.

Could you clarify what you're trying to do when downloading files?
Are you trying to export the files to another app or to the file system on your phone, or something else?

Export to the file system on my mobile phone.

Thanks for the info. Could you try marking the files as available offline in the Dropbox mobile app first, and then try exporting them to your device?

Still the same.

Is this occurring for all files you're attempting to export, regardless of the size?
Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

Don't have any of that. Been using this the same way for quite a few years. I edit photos on my iPad and export (via Lightroom) directly to Dropbox. Then, I export from Dropbox onto my android phone. Nothing has changed on my end. It was working fine last night.
I've tried downloading 15mb up to 150mb and both said error.
