“Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated.
When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: “Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. There’s not internet connection issue; I’m connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didn’t encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.
Hi everybody,
As many of you have noticed, we implemented a fix in our updated version 362.7
Feel free to reach out if you're still having issues.
Thank you!
Sam

Hi Ben100 - sorry to hear about this.
Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?
Also, are you able to do this via a web browser normally and does it persist on both cellular data and via WiFi?

Hello, I’m getting exactly the same issue on my iPad. Everything is up-to-date. I’ve reset everything. I’ve deleted the Dropbox iOS app and reinstalled. Do you have any other advice?

Hey Jadsr, what steps do you follow, and how do you try to save content when you see this error?
Have you tried clearing the app's cache, and then trying again? You can do this in the app's settings.

Hey Jadsr, let's jump right into this!
Would you mind sharing some additional info with me?
When did this start happening? Also, feel free to let me know the OS you're currently using along with the Dropbox version you're using on your iPhone.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Sorry to hear this, whdaffer. Can you please clarify the app version of the Dropbox app you’re running on your iPad? Also, what’s it’s OS version?
Since you're on a paid account, did you also reinstall the Dropbox app with these steps and they didn’t help?
1) Clear the cache on your Dropbox app.
To clear your cache, please follow the steps listed below:
- Navigate to the “Account” tab
- Tap the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the screen
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen
- Select “Clear Cache” under "Privacy"
2) Uninstall the Dropbox App
3) Sign out from the App Store
4) Restart your device
5) Sign into the App Store
6) Download and Install Dropbox
7) Try to sign into your Dropbox account

I'm trying to save a file to Dropbox using the 'share' button in Safari. I've done the following.
- Make sure I can access my files via the Dropbox app
- Make sure Dropbox is turned on in Files.app
Both work (although I did have to turn on Dropbox in Files.app, but I could always see them in the Dropbox app.
The symptom is that I get a "Couldn't save content. Please check your internet connection and refresh the page" error.
I've rebooted the iPad twice and signed out of, then back into Dropbox twice on the iPad. I have a Dropbox Plus account.
