DBox on my Mac is with one email - and just discovered my laptop DBox has my old account linked.

So I took advantage of the Black Friday annual 2TB plan using my new email and on my desktop I set up my folder structure and began populating it with files.

Just launched my laptop and my Finder window shows a Dropbox that's from my old email. As a result I am not seeing anything I want to use from the new 2TB account which is registered to my different email.

How do I change my laptop so I'm seeing the new account and files on my laptop?
Thanks for your advice.

Hi silverlaker39 thanks for dropping by!

You can use these steps to sign out of your old account and then to your new one.

After that, you simply give it sometime for the new account to fully sync, and you will be able to see your files as normal.

Let me know how it goes!

It did not work. I uninstalled my Dropbox application, launched my new DB account in the browser, downloaded the DB app, installed it and I continue to get immediately connected to the old DB account I don't want to use. I have no idea why I am stuck in this place where I can't see my new DB content either on my laptop or the DP 'places' in Finder. Help!

Hi from me as well, silverlaker39!

When setting up the Dropbox app again, are you getting a prompt to log in with the email address of your choice, and your Dropbox password?

If not, can you send a screenshot of what you see exactly on your end? Just make sure any personal info is masked.

Hi silverlaker39, are you certain that you're signing out of the Dropbox desktop application using the steps my colleague suggested?
