Having syncing issues with my external drive on Windows 11
I have an external drive for all my Dropbox files. I have the latest version of Dropbox 195.4.4995 and Windows 11 is up to date.
Dropbox has been working for several years without any problem. Since a vew weeks i have a sync problem.
When i drop new files into my Dropbox folder the sync should start automaticly. That's not happening anymore. Formated my drive and synced everything again and still the problem stays. When i suspend dropbox and start again the files will sync, but that is becoming a annoying problem.

Hi jackybe67, thanks for messaging the Community!
Just for full clarification, is the external drive the location for your Dropbox folder, or are you backing up the external drive to your Dropbox account using the Dropbox Backup feature?
This will help me to assist further!

What is the exact message In the Dropbox desktop application when you click the icon in the system tray?
- jackybe672 years agoHelpful | Level 6That the files are up to date. But they aren’t.

Do the files have any sync icons on them? Could you attach a screenshot showing the difference of files on the external drive, and on the Dropbox site?

Hey jackybe67, odd that the app states it's up to date, but it clearly shows some syncing files.
Have you tried checking its syncing status using these steps? It might sound trivial, but have you tried re-starting your device at all?

Reinstalled Dropbox about 5 times, restarts....
When i place a file into my Dropbox after the restart it will automaticly sync. But after a while when i put in a new file it doesn't anymore and the blue sync sign stays until i restart or log out and in.

Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

Just the standard Windows Defender.
