My Dropbox desktop app is stuck syncing 66 files on my macOS Sequoia.
Hello,
My dropbox desktop app for macOS Sequoia 15.3 is stuck synching with 66 files.
This happened to me last year and it took months to get folder synched again properly.
Not sure what to do, any suggestions are welcome.
I've done the classic steps of restarting mac, restarting dropbox etc etc
I really would like to avoid re-installing and re-synching everything because that took a period of months to do, since it would not allow to let me synch all files at once.

Hi andreasgrill, thanks for posting here today.
If you open your desktop app via the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, can you see which files are currently stuck syncing?
I’d also like you to right-click on your local Dropbox folder directly, select “Get info” and send me a screenshot of the next window you’ll see.
Let me know when you’re ready.

My Mac Sonoma 14.6.1 is doing the same thing. Has been stuck for weeks at 108,000+.
I've followed instructions to delete app but it doesn't go away.
What can I do

Hey paulbeesley! Sorry to hear you’re having a similar issue.
What’s the app version of your Dropbox app?
Can you follow these steps and send me a screenshot of your Dropbox folder’s properties?
Finally, did you take any actions on Dropbox right before the issue started?

It appears that we scared it - syncing has completed.
Thank you.

For some unknown reason it has completely synched.
Thank you.

Hello Nancy
For some reason the little paperclip attachement button doesn't work.
Also when I try to drag in the screenshot it says File Not Allowed as a warning from the browser? I've tried both in Safari and Chrome.
Also the link you're referring to further below takes me back to this page.

Glad to hear that and thanks for the screenshot too andreasgrill - much appreciated.
Can you please send us another one to see the Dropbox desktop app's exact status as shown in your menu bar at the moment?
Have you tried fixing your hardlinks and permissions by any chance since you noticed this issue?

I tried fixing hardlinks but when I click fixing permission nothing happens.
Still the same 66 files.
