Shared folder appears empty

I was shared a file and I can’t see anything inside. I know there are videos in there and I can get into the folder but it just appears empty.

Hi Klegan, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Does the shared folder have any files when you view it on the Dropbox site directly?

This will help me to assist further!

If the folder is empty on the site, then this does mean that the folder is empty.

You'll need to contact the owner of the shared folder for them to look into this further.

The folder is not empty on the persons side who shared the folder. Just on the shared end

Make sure they're checking the website and not just the folder on their computer. If the files are in the folder on their computer but they aren't showing on the website, that usually means there's a sync problem on that person's computer and the files haven't been uploaded.

If the folder is empty on the website, it really is empty.

Are you certain that you're both looking at the same shared folder on the site, and that the folder isn't in fact a private folder on their end?
