Sync Next not working through Mac Finder interface

I have lots syncing all day long.  It is not uncommon for me to get back from a video shoot, upload 200 Gb (takes about 48 hours with my internet speeds), and then the next day, I'll need to upload a few 200 Mb files for a client.  I need to prioritize that 200 Mb file, and I CAN do that in the task bar window IF I can find the file.  The task bar does not give a full list, so if I can't find it there, I cannot Sync Next.  There is a right click or control click function that also says "sync next".  It is useless.  Does nothing.  So I NEED to be able to prioritize certain file uploads at any given time.  I can't do that currently and it often means to resorting to Google Drive upload shares.  Please resolve this by either (a) making the task bar search function search for not just what is ON DB, but also what is scheduled to sync (so then I can find it and "sync next", (b) make the list infinitely scrollable (not preferred as I'd have to look for a file name in possibly thousands of files being upped), or (c) make the right-click Finder option work the way it's supposed to.

This does not work at all. This works but I can't see ALL files, even if I scroll all the way down.

I can't speak to the issue you're having (I'm not a Mac user) so I'll leave that for someone else to answer. I just wanted to let you know that I've edited your post to remove the mention of Selective Sync to avoid confusion. Selective Sync is a specific feature that's used to remove local folders to save disk space and is unrelated to what you're doing here.  It's accessible through the Sync tab in Dropbox Preferences.

Hey ashtrey1980, sorry to hear you're having issues with this and thanks for your feedback.

Can you please let us know the exact OS of your device and the desktop app's version?

Also, how long has it been since you first noticed that the right-click option to prioritize a file to sync next is not working?

Is it affecting all of the files in your Dropbox folder or just some specific ones?

When it comes to your suggestions, note that you could post them separately in the Share an Idea board, so that other users can upvote them and/or share their own feedback.

    Thanks @Walter.

    OS Monterey 12.5.

I don't recall trying to use this function on any prior OS.  I actually just started using the top-tier DB a few months ago when I realized I was going to have to expand my team and collaborate remotely.  Until then, I had just been a casual user.

I have yet to get this feature to work on any files.  Using the other task bar method seems to work well enough (not perfect as it still seems to sync some of the other files at the same time, so "sync soon-ish" may be a better name, but I won't complain further about that).

I will also copy and paste onto that board you suggested.

    Thanks!

Have the exact same issue. Been like this for a while but need to prioritize a file so thought I'd google to see if there is a fix out there.

I have the same issue. It is like a cross walk button, clicking it more frequently does nothing.

Hi Brian A.12, I'd be happy to help!

Can you let me know the app's syncing status, and the version that you're currently using?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Got the exact same behaviour. Macos Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81). Why is this not fixed? It's been a long time!
