Waiting to sync (Mac)
Since yesterday, Dropbox won't sync files on my iMac.
The app constantly says 'syncing 175 files', but nothing happens
Manual upload does work. So apparently there is nothing wrong with the internet connection.
I have a 6.25 GB account with only 2.8 GB in use.
I have already uninstalled the Dropbox app and downloaded and installed the latest version.
Restarting the Mac doesn't solve anything either
I looked on my Mac for the cache to empty it, but I can't find it.
I recently significantly reorganized my Dropbox folders, could that be a cause?
Strange though is that after that at least one file was automatically synced.
When I click "View sync issues," there are no sync issues.
Is it possible to see which files are syncing based upon the icons of the folders in Finder?
If so try moving the folder/directory out of Dropbox to say desktop, let it sync to clear icon/up to date and then return it the folder. That usually works.

i have similar syncing issues since 2 weeks ago. After i amend the MS doc and excel files on my Mac, it doesn't sync upwards to the dropbox server. i can see the icon at finder beside the file, not sync yet.
but sometimes after a few hrs , it will sync. i also tried to pause sync for example 30 mins and sometimes a few files sync upwards.
I went to upgrade my Mac OS to 12.7.6 and reinstalled dropbox to v211.4.6008. but still same issue.
at the Dropbox "preferences" page , there is a "sync" tab. It says "Dropbox folder updates" "You are eligible for the new dropbox for macOS on file provider".BUt when i click on "Update now", it couldn't update dropbox as it says "Let your files finish syncing, then try again". I am stuck here as even after i paused sync, it doesn't update as well.please help!
thank you so much

Hi gammaray79, could you attach a screenshot showing the sync icon you're seeing next to the files that aren't syncing in Finder?

Thanks for the image, what is the current status of the Dropbox desktop application when you click the icon in the menu bar?

Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

If you rename the files slightly, like adding a letter or number, do they sync?
