My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

If you disable the backup and choose to "Leave content in Dropbox", your backup content would still be there until it was permanently deleted.
When you go to the Backups page and see no content, be sure to check the deleted section, too.
You can download the files from this location if you need to store them locally on your device.
To clear out the data from the deleted backup, follow these steps:- Navigate to
dropbox.com/backup/all - Click on
Show deleted backups - Select their backup and click on
permanently delete
- Navigate to

Hi muibmuel, I hope you're doing well!
In regards to the space in your account, is it possible you have a backup enabled and visible on this page on your account? What about any shared folders?
Keep me posted!

Hey muibmuel! Hope you don’t mind me jump in.
After clicking on the “Show deleted backups” button, did you select your backup and choose to “permanently delete” it? If yes, then you should be all set.
As long as you don’t manually enable computer backup again from your Dropbox app, these files should no longer take up space from your Dropbox account.
