My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

Hi, my dropbox says the storage is still full even after deleting all existing files, emptying deleted files, unsharing all shared files and unlinking from my phone, laptop and desktop. how can we resolve this?

Have you set up Backups? www.dropbox.com/backups ?

Hey Mark,
Yes, I did set up by accident. I have tried to unselect backup folders in the preference but it does not erase the data already saved in the backups.

Hi,
I do not have any files in my Dropbox account, because I all deleted them. But I still get the error that there is not enough storage space.
Can you please help me with that? I have a basic Dropbox account.

My Dropbox says I have 26.7 MB of shared files; 2 GB of normal files and 0 GB of unused files. I only have 3 files in my deleted folder, all of which are under a MB. I have Dropbox-Basic I have not been deleting large files previously. I have no idea what these normal files are. I go to all files and there is only one folder, my shared folder containing the 26.7 MB of shared files. I am puzzled as to how I seemingly have 2 GB of invisible "normal files." Thanks for your advice.

I have deleted all of the files from both devices but it still says I am using 2.25gb of 2.25gb.
Been through the chat with someone and they couldn't help, i dont have back up set up, i dont have shared folders.
I have zero files and folders in my dropbox and its still full.
Been through just about every setting and its still full.
Cant find an email address or any way of actually contacting anyone that can help me

For anyone that's still struggling with space being used incorrectly on their Dropbox account, can you try to delete folders within the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC?
If the issue remains, don't hesitate to let me know!
