Dropbox App Stuck in Starting Loop
For the past few days, my dropbox desktop app is stuck on this screen. I've tried doing disk utility to my drive, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, etc. I am still able to access everything synced through my Finder, but there hasn't been any new syncing since this problem arrose.

Hi timkov, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you confirm the version of the Dropbox desktop application you're running?
You can do this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in the system tray or menu bar.
This will help me to assist further! - timkov4 years agoExplorer | Level 3

Is there is a possibility that a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router issues could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains? - timkov4 years agoExplorer | Level 3

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link? - scottstewart3 years agoNew member | Level 2
I am having the same problem--the Dropbox app is looping on startup.
I have MAC Ventura 13.2.1
Dropbox version 170.4.5895
Please advise. Thank you!

Hi scottstewart, could you try reinstalling the app, while not uninstalling it first, via this link?

My dropbox app on Macbook Pro have been stuck on the initial "Starting" phase for a couple of days in a loop of hell. I have weeks of skript writing on stake here. The file is 6.1 mb så i cant see why it would be heavy to handle. The whole computer is grinding to a halt. Writing this is a miracle. Please, can you solve this for me?

Hey Jonathan123, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
When did you notice that this issue started? Was it after some kind of update, either of Dropbox or your OS?
Also, what is your computer's OS version?
