Dropbox Backup partially backup, not updating.
When I go to manage my backups the Mac is Disabled. I am backing up 3 folders from my computer hard drive. They are only partially backup and not updating. Screen shots to help explain.

Hi suethomo, welcome to our Community!
If I understand your issue correctly, it seems that the "Catalog backups" has been stuck like that for quite a while, am I right on this one? Feel free to correct me.
How long has it been stuck updating? Do you see any small, slow progress in the numbers updating on the second screenshot or none?
Can you also hover over your little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi, and let me know the version of the app that you're using?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Yes it has been stuck for some time. - Probably for at least a month. I've only just noticed it tho'. The version is 181.4.5678

Hey suethomo, sorry to jump in here.
Can you try closing the Dropbox app and relaunching it from your applications folder, to see if that helps?
Make sure to also restart your computer.

Not sure what is going on here. I can see the backups when I go to Manage Backups (see screen shot). But when I use the dropbox icon on top of screen I get a constant updating but at the bottom it says everything is up to date.

I simply want to backup 3 folders which are in a folder on my computer called Catalog backups. But I get the Dropbox Backup window asking me to plugin Catalog backups to resume backup. I have almost given up trying to figure out why I cannot do this - what should be a simple thing to do.

Have tried doing as you suggested and launched from App folder. Also deleted and re-installed app.

Hi suethomo, just to clarify and make sure we're on the same page: you mentioned that you simply want to backup 3 folders from your computer called Catalog backups. Is this your current device?
However, the Catalog backups one we're looking at on the screenshot, seems to be an external hard drive.
As for the folder you see when you visit online, is it complete?
- suethomo3 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Yes - my mistake - the 3 folders are on an external hard drive. When I plug it in nothing happens. It seems stuck on 34% complete
- suethomo3 years agoExplorer | Level 3
No, the folder online is not complete

Tried deleting backup - but it still appears in the backup. Sorry - this does not work for me. Going elsewhere to backup.
