Dropbox Capture video skips and buffers when I record.

Hey, I've been using Dropbox Capture to feedback on a project. I love the idea of quickly sharing a video like that. There is one problem though - I cannot reliably record a screen capture with voice - the video will randomly skip and buffer, corrupting the recorded video - in effect I'm loosing time, because I have to re-record. It's very frustrating.

I'm on Windows and the most recent version of Capture v116.3.0 Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, tried disabling audio enhancements in Windows audio settings as well.

I would love to use this feature daily, but at this point it's pointless - is there any fix to the issue?

Oh wow, great timing. So that explains a lot - another reason to cancel the subscription.

Yes I tried all of these. This issue has been persisting for over a year. Sure please reach out to my email, I can send you some of the bugged videos.

Hey Wojtek Fus, thanks for the info!

It might sound trivial, but have you tried rebooting the device ever since you first noticed this issue?

What about trying to quit and relaunch the app?

If none of these steps work, can I send you an email in order for us to have a closer look into this?

Thanks Megan! Yes, I am usually running Blender and noticed that these issues happen when GPU is occupied, although the task is not utilizing GPU heavily. This issue is not happening with OBS or any other screen recorder though. Usually the bigger the screen space that is being recorded (4k) the more likely I will get skipping issue.

Hey Wojtek Fus thanks for posting here today!

I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

Does this happen with anything you're trying to record, or only on specific apps or areas of the screen?

Also, do you have any other apps that could be running at the same time and affecting the performance of Capture during its recording?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
