Installation Failed Error Code 1073741795
I keep getting the same error over and over again. I have tried every suggested resolution and nothing has worked. Anyone?

Our engineers have put out a new Beta Build: 150.3.4929, which fixes the 'Installation failure: Error code 1073741795'. You can find details about the fix, and how to install it, here.

4 years agoHey indraj436, sorry to hear about this.
Just to clarify, have you performed an advanced reinstall yet?
Note that if you're on the Basic plan, there's a limit on the devices you can connect to your account. If you have more than 3, you'll need to remove any that are putting you over the limit and try to install the desktop app anew.

Did anyone ever receive a resolution for this error code when trying to install Dropbox?
I am using a new computer, Win 11, not in S mode.
Please help.
Here's another thing... I can't find where to put a good reply email address in my profile... so please use [email removed as per Community Guidelines]

I found no solution, the same problem is described in several different posts (https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-installs-integrations/Dropbox-Desktop-Cannot-Open-Uninstall-or-Re-Install/td-p/574199).
I see in the windows registrar that a lot of dropbox are still present (I use https://www.oo-software.com/en/ooregeditor).
Maybe the cause of the issue?

Thanks for the screenshot MRBUSBY
As the linked Help Center article outlines, the Dropbox desktop app doesnât support ARM processors on Windows operating systems, except for on Windows in S mode.
I hope this helps a tad!- humus4 years agoHelpful | Level 6
