Confirming that iCloud storage works for keeping track of recents. This is a necessary feature for me and now contemplating moving back to iCloud. Perhaps that is Apple's plan?

This is why I strongly hesitate to switch to iCloud. A few years ago it also deleted notes that I had there, by itself. No possibility to get them back. At least with Dropbox it seems this wouldn't happen and we have file history available and everything.
I'm still using Dropbox for the Logic projects and it works OK except syncing seems to take longer and it stops syncing while using the application. I can live with the missing "recent" history, I've gotten used to it by now actually.
