Please revert the new screenshot "feature" on MacOS, or at least give us the option to do so.
Hi, can you PLEASE revert that new Screenshot "feature" you added in MacOS. Previously, it was possible to simply drag and drop a Screenshot into Finder or Photos right after it was taken. Now, your stupid popup shows up and drag and drop doesn't work. This worked PERFECTLY in the past and there was NO reason to touch this functionality. Why are you taking this feature away from us???

- Dropbox app -> Preferences -> Screenshots -> uncheck Show quick actions after screenshot
- Then press ⌘+⇧+5, Options -> Show Floating Thumbnail
And then get majorly pissed off every few hours and on every reboot while the Dropbox app resets this setting back to unchecked (and once it does, press the key combination again and redo step 2)

Any news about this bug fix? I use the screenshot floating feature alot, and this causes an enormous amount of extra work.

Hi cineview - We've rolled out a bug fix that should prevent the MacOS floating thumbnail from randomly re-enabling. But it sounds like you're having the opposite issue: your MacOS floating thumbnail is randomly turning itself off. Is that correct?
I'll flag this with our team to see if this issue is covered by the recent bug fix we rolled out.
In the meantime, can your try updating to the latest Dropbox build (v222) and let me know if you're still running into this?
Cheers!

Yes, thats correct, it keeps ticking the floating thumbnail off instead of keeping it on.
My current version for Mac is 222.4.5042

Same here. I misread some of the ones above and thought everyone had the same issue with me. I would like it to stay on but it keeps getting turned off.
I'm sure this isn't an easy feature request, but my ideal would actually be the Dropbox screenshot popup acting more like the MacOS one. Specifically, I like being able to drag the Mac one somewhere to basically paste it into a message or some similar place. I don’t like how this would actually prevent it from getting sent to dropbox. I also like the markup features from dropbox. So if there’s a way that the dropbox one could be dragable and pastable, then I think I would prefer it.

I have this too. Have had it for some months, irritated me enough today to take another look and found a new post on stackexchange that linked here.
Currently on Sequoia 15.4, was also happening under Sonoma.
Dropbox version 222.4.5042.
I take a lot of screenshots.

cineview - Thanks for confirming! One follow-up: Have you turned the "Show quick actions after screenshot" toggle off in your Dropbox preferences? I want to confirm that the MacOS thumbnail is being randomly disabled despite that setting also being off. Thanks!

Yes, i tried both options, on and off

"Show quick actions after screenshot" toggle is off.
Yesterday after posting here I reticked the Mac "Show floating thumbnail" option.
Today it's off again.

Hi Julian88Tex -- Would you mind submitting an "idea" (link here) for the request to add drag/drop support to Dropbox's custom thumbnail?
It'll allow other folks in the community to upvote/show support, which helps us prioritize the request!
Cheers!
