Dropbox Passwords UI issue on Pixel 9. Search and Save buttons in the notch area aren't clickable.
I'm having a usability issue with the Dropbox Passwords app on my Google Pixel 9.
The search bar at the top of the app is placed directly in the notch area, making it impossible to tap or interact with. Similarly, when creating a new password, the "Save" button is also positioned in that same top area – meaning it can't be tapped either. As a result, I’m unable to search or save new entries.
I've cleared the app cache, removed and re-installed the app. I've restarted my phone and I'm still getting the same issues.

Hi Hannah, I just tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Dropbox Passwords app. No difference: blue coloured SAVE word is still at the top right of screen, behind battery, WiFi & mobile data icons. How can we resolve this quickly for good?

Hi from me too, tetloose! If you have the Dropbox mobile app installed, can you check it and let me know what you see there?
I’m curious whether this is happening on a different Dropbox interface as well, or if it’s specific to your Dropbox Passwords app.

Hey Hannah, yep I've uninstalled / re-installed several times, cleared the application data and cache as well as my phones and restarted my phone and the issue persists.

Thanks for the update here, tetloose and sorry to see that you're also having this issue, iljd.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dropbox Passwords app, to see if it helps at all?

I'm experiencing the exact same issue as tetloose. I'm using a Google Pixel 9a. Pls help! 🙏🏻

Sure thing, I've added all the required fields, the save button turns blue, so the functionality is working.
I am tho still not able to press that save button even after multiple taps. Its hidden behind the OS notch. The notch has a higher z-index than the app. That whole area is un tappable.
Just needs a bit of safe margin at the top of the app to prevent the action buttons from being lost behind the notch. This might only be related to the Pixel or any phone that has a notch area where the front camera is.

Hey tetloose!
Could you make sure that all the required fields (Acount name, Username, Password) have been filled out? Once that's been done, the Save button should turn blue.
In that case, please try tapping on it (more than once if needed), and let me know if you're able to save the info at all.

Just worked out you can paste images from ya clipboard, was trying to drop them in... Absolute MONDAY vibes.
It started about 6 months ago.
You can see the Save and Back buttons are in the notch and not accessible. The search appears to be working now, but the settings cog is trapped in the notch area.
Maybe another app is hijacking the styles? - Megan5 months ago

Hey tetloose, the pleasure is ours! 😊
I checked your shared link, but it seems to be empty. Is it possible that the files you added there, haven't been uploaded yet?
Keep in mind that I'm going to remove the link, in order to avoid gathering further traffic to it, since we're on a public forum.
Also, when did you first notice this behavior?

Hey Megan thank you for having me :D.

The search bar seams to be working now on the home screen, but the cog top right is still in the Notch and un tappable.
Saving a new password, the save and back icons are still in the notch.
