Issue inserting picture in Microsoft Office from Dropbox results in error.
Hi there,
I've only recently been experiencing an issue when inserting pictures from a dropbox folder into any Microsoft Office application.
The error says the picture can't be displayed.
I get this when using Word, Powerpoint and Excel which is becoming extremely frustrating.
I'm using a Mac so not sure if that makes a difference with the solution.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Hey AdminDirectitude, happy Friday!
Can you let me know the state of the files you're inserting to your Office documents? Are they synced locally, or online-only?
Let me know the icons you see next to these files, in your Dropbox folder.
Keep me posted.

Hi Megan,
Thanks for your note. The files say available when online.

Hey AdminDirectitude, thank you for reaching back to me, I hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Can you right click on an example file, and choose for it to be available offline? Once you do, try to insert it on a Microsoft file, and let me know if that's possible.

Right clicking on the file and "making it available offline" totally solved the problem of being able to import a picture from Dropbox into my microsoft documents! THANK YOU!!!

Hi! I'm having the same issue. It appears that my entire photos folder is available while offline (I set this in my dropbox preferences that is on my mac desktop) and it still says that it can't be displayed when I try to insert a photo on my microsoft excel doc from dropbox. Do you have any other suggestions?

Sorry to see you're having this issue, asjd.
Can you please send us a screenshot of the error you're getting, so we can have a visual of this?

Hi Hannah!
Yes, here is what it looks like. I took a screen shot of the step I take to insert the photo and then the error message that appears.
Thanks again!

Thanks for the screenshots, Ashley!
Are you having this issue only when trying to insert photos from your Dropbox folder or other folders on your computer as well?
If you close the Dropbox app first and then choose a photo to insert, does it work?

Hi asjd,
I hope you are having a good day! I see you were having some issues when inserting pictures into Excel from Dropbox folders. I noticed that my colleague has offered some advice and I was wondering if that helped get your pictures added. If you're still having trouble please let us know and we will try our best to help.
Thanks again, and have a great day!
