The ASUS 500 GB promotion hasn't been applied to my Dropbox account.
Payment Method: Didn't made any payment
How did you upgrade? : Downloaded from Drop Box official website
I have an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506NFR laptop that should qualify for the 500 GB Dropbox promotion. I installed Dropbox and signed in, but my account still shows only 2 GB Basic. Can support please verify my eligibility and apply the promotion?
- Dropbox account email: [removed]
- Screenshot: [attach screenshot showing 2 GB plan]

I followed the instructions from the ASUS promotion page, but the bonus storage has not been applied. Could you please verify my eligibility and manually apply the 500 GB promotional space?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Arijit

Did you download Dropbox yourself, or did you use the icon that was already on the computer? You need to use the icon that's already there for the promotion to apply. If you downloaded and installed Dropbox yourself, the promotion will not apply.

I haven't seen anything recently, but if you installed it yourself with previous promotions, you had to bring the computer back to the factory image and use the pre-installed copy.
Otherwise you can try contacting Support.

Hi arijit_mazumder, welcome to our Community!
To activate the promotion, did you follow the exact steps in this article, by opening the pre-installed version of the Dropbox desktop application on your device?
Have you checked that your account meets the terms for the promotion? You can scroll to the bottom of the Help Center article in order to have a look at them.
On top of that, please make sure that you complete the 2 steps of the Get Started guide too.
Lastly, there's an FAQ section here with reasons for ineligibility for the HP promotion which would be similar for Asus too. Is it possible you're not eligible for some reason?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hi arijit_mazumder! From a look into our system, I can see that you already have a ticket logged with our support team and one of our agents has already replied back to you asking for more info.
Can you please respond to their email, so that they may further help you? I’ve also left them an internal note on your behalf.

I’m experiencing a similar issue with my ASUS laptop. I sent an email asking for support, but the response I received was very generic and suggested that I should figure it out myself. According to the terms, Dropbox must be downloaded from the MyASUS app. However, when I click the download option there, nothing happens. I explained this exactly in the email I sent to Dropbox support, and they advised me to download the app from another source. I followed their instructions, but the result is that my account is still on the Basic plan (2GB of storage). My account is google qvspeed2 , I would really appreciate your assistance with this issue. Thank you.

Hey vinhdanang, can you send me a screenshot of the terms you’re referring to?
Also, to clarify, the Dropbox app didn’t come pre-loaded on your computer, but you installed it yourself. Correct?

I would like to confirm that it is not possible for me to install Dropbox from the MyASUS app. When I try to install it from there, nothing happens, so I had to download and install Dropbox manually from another source.

Apologies for the delay, vinhdanang; I just took some time to double check this.
According to what’s mentioned in the Help Center article I previously linked, the Dropbox app needs to be pre-loaded/already installed when you purchase your device (meaning that if you have to install it on your end either via your MyASUS app, or our website, the device may not be eligible for the promotion).
If you wish though, I can log a ticket for you to investigate this internally, as well. Of course, I can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to do much, if the device is deemed ineligible.
Let me know how you'd like to proceed.
