Dropbox India - Renewal Failed
Hello from India!
Does anyone have a solution on how to renew Dropbox in India. As per the new RBI rule, any subscription based plan over Rs. 5000, needs to be registered with the bank first. I don't see Dropbox on any banks platform of approved providers and therefore unable to renew my company's account.
I've tried with multiple cards and received this error message:
Payment Failed!
For Dropbox
On Bank Credit Card.
Reason: Non-compliant Recurring or Standing Instruction registered with Merchant. Use alternate source to pay the bill.
For details, contact your merchant.
Please help!
Thanks.

Would it be OK if I reached out via the email that's connected to your profile here to have a further look internally?

Hello Walter!
This is going to be a common problem for almost all Indian customers. My billing renewal date is in February 2022, but I would still like to know in advance if I need to take any steps in advance from my end, for my transaction to go through successfully, and I'm sure all the other Indian customers would want an update on the same.
Thanks in advance.

My monthly payment set up also failed. Basically, credit card users from India need to authenticate the payment before it becomes recurring. Not sure how this can be done with the current dropbox payment method. Please help. Thank you

Dear All.
I am sure a lot of people facing this issue for payment to Dropbox after RBIs new guidelines, for recurring payment merchants need to be registered. As Dropbox is not featured in that list, and also there is no option on Dropbox payment palteform where se can pay directly monthly / annually, stuck with no renewal.
Can someone or Dropbox accounting team listen and help......
Please help!!!
Thanks. - Megan5 years ago

If you're still facing this, would it be okay if I send you an email, so we can have a closer look together?

@Lori, sure you can drop me an email.
As I mentioned I'm just being cautious, my billing date is 4 months away. I hope Dropbox is handling this proactively with respect to the new RBI norms, so that renewal transactions don't fail for Indian customers.
