I've been charged for Dropbox for 2 years, but I'm on a Basic plan

As titled, I have never authorized any payments with my free plan, yet I found I was charged $119.88 on March 25 2025, when I look back I found out I was actually charged the same amount on 2024. I only have one account (this one).

No transaction id associated with my transaction, so I cannot use the lookup tool. This is extremely frustrating, I have read many discussions with the same issue but no clear solve was found. Please help.

I would like the two year refund and to stop charging me.

  • Apparently this is a known issue, yet the dropbox team decided to keep the process of finding out where the charge coming from/refund process extremely hard. No wonder this company is not doing good.

Hi whyamibeingcharged, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

As this is related to sensitive billing info, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.

You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into any account, and accessing this link.

From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to pick an email to which you can receive and send emails from.

  • Thanks Jay, I used the link you provided the submitted my email. What is the estimated response time, and based on your experience, how long does it take for people with same issues to get a refund and to stop the charge (if it were ever solved)?

Could you provide the ticket ID in order to locate it on the system?
