Prorated fees for combining to family plan?

Looking at a family plan for my wife and I.

We both have accounts that are paid for individually.

If I convert one to a family plan and invite the other - what happens to the charges paid for the year on the second account?

Thanks!

  • Hey lantheaume, thanks for posting your question today!

Indeed, upon upgrading an individual subscription to the Family plan, your individual account will be refunded for the prorated cost of your original plan and your plan will be changed to Dropbox Family.

Let me know if you have any questions.

      Thanks!

What happens to the "other" account.

Let's say we both have 6 months left on our yearly subscription.
If I upgrade to Family, my plan is "refunded for the prorated cost of your original plan and your plan will be changed to Dropbox Family."

But what about my wife's account when I add her to the family plan?

      Thanks!

Hi lantheaume, same thing happens to all accounts that join the Family plan.
