My files aren't syncing. Is my app connected to the right account?
I am a new employee to a company. The previous employee had a dropbox acct on the same computer that I use, however my files are not syncing with the other team members for the company.
When I open preferences below is the dropbox folder location which is that of the previous employee.
How can I resolve this issue?

Hey MaryJDKrane!
Where exactly do you add these files? Do you add them inside a team or shared folder, or a personal one? If you're not sure, then please send me a couple of screenshots showing the local folder on your device, in order for me to have a visual too.

He is not able to see them online or his desktop app.

Let me jump in here too, MaryJDKrane.
Just to clarify, is he unable to see your file both on www.dropbox.com and his desktop app?
If he only can’t see your file on the Dropbox app, but he can see it online, then this means that there’s a syncing issue on his end instead.

Are you able to see the file in this folder when you and your team's owner navigate the website MaryJDKrane?

My files are syncing but when I add a file to a folder the others on the team specifically my owner is not seeing the added file in his dropbox folder.

Hey MaryJDKrane, thanks for the speedy reply!
Something to keep in mind: You can always move your Dropbox folder to a different location by following these steps.
When you add or update a file inside your Dropbox folder do you see the changes reflected online?
Also, what is the syncing status of the Dropbox desktop app as we speak? You can see that, if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your taskbar.

I am logged in using my email. That is the default folder so yes they are located in the one in the screen shot.
