I was invited to join a team, but I want to get my individual account back.
I had a personal subscription plan with 2 TB earlier, and one of my clients has added me to their Company DB account recently.
This is my 2nd time that the Admin of that company has deleted my account from their and now I cannot get my old files since I have re-registered with my email (xxxxxxx@gamil.com) to try to get my files promptly. Now I have a brand new account with 2GB of space.
I have already requested to add me to their company account again, then I can leave it by myself after restoring my files, hopefully.
Could you guys please help me out to correct this issue and get my Files back with the previous account?

And if you absolutely must join the team with your existing account, when it's time to leave make sure the admin knows that they need to convert your account back to an individual account, and not just remove you from the team.

Hi, Rich I have asked the admin to convert my account back to an individual account and remove me from the team. And he did as I said. also sent this article.

However, after being removed from the group, I now again have a brand new account with 2GB, and none of my files are there.
How can I get my files back, and any advice we need to follow, please?

Hey Isuru W - sorry to hear you're still having issues with this.
Can you please confirm that you had your files back when you were re-added to the team and that your team admin followed the steps outlined in the video in this Help Center article when they removed you from the team?

Hi Walter Thank you for getting back.
I have already forwarded this link to the admin, and he said he followed the steps as it say. But still, I have a Basic account. Is this something my subscription is not there anymore?

Your team admin must have transferred your files to another account when they first removed you from the team then Isuru W
Can you check with them if they can find them anywhere to re-share them with you?

It's expected that your subscription is no longer active. When you joined the team you would have received a prorated refund for the time remaining on your account. When you leave a team you'll be back on a Basic account. You can resubscribe if/when needed.

I have forwarded this message to them. Not sure how they did. But said they have followed the instructions from the given link.

Yes, Rich when they added me to their DB team, I was refunded. Just curious if I pay, can I get my files back as Admin says he did, according to the link.

Paying has nothing to do with your files. Your team admin is the only one that can potentially recover your files for you.
When you were first removed from the team, the admin had the option to transfer your files to another account. If they did that, then that person may be able to share them back to you.

Thank you, Rich I have already asked them to re-add me to their DB team and follow the steps in the video to leave me as an individual account. I will update you as soon as they respond.
