Hi all,

I have had a shared folder within my Dropbox for sometime, I have done a fresh windows install but left the original Dropbox folder on a separate drive. I setup a fresh install of Dropbox and it has re-sync'd all files and folders, with the exception on this one! I have downloaded the folder, saved it elsewhere within the Dropbox folder and deleted the original shared folder via the website, but I am still getting sync issues. Any ideas? The message is "Couldn't download. In the file properties, unselect Read Only" I have done this in Windows, but it defaults back

Any ideas?

Chris

Hay - thanks for getting back to me, and you were right, it was a folder issue. Found the solution here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/need-permission-from-s-1-5-21-etc-to-delete-a/...

Hey @Dodgyracer, thanks for letting us know about this.

This might actually be a Microsoft issue, but let's see what we can find out.

Does the name of this folder contain any incompatible characters perhaps?

Also, what is the sync status of the Dropbox app? You can see that if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

And can you maybe send us a screenshot of the error, so we can look into it?

Thanks!
