Started this week. On my phone I can open an Excel file in Dropbox as a preview but when I click on the edit button I get the Office Excel opening (Downloading from Dropbox) screen, then it flips to the "Microsoft Office Integration would like access to the files and folders in your Dropbox. Learn more. > Allow screen" I click on Allow then it just flips back to the Dropbox preview of my Excel file. I have logged out of Dropbox on the (Android) phone, then back in, no change. I have rebooted the phone, no change. I have uninstalled Excel on my phone and let Dropbox install it again, no change. Sometimes I get the "Sign in to Dropbox to link with Microsoft Office Integration" prompt so I do, no change. I have clear Cache, no change. Removed the Default apps, no change. I can open and edit the Excel file with Excel on the Web from a computer. I am will to use Google Sheets but I do not get that as an option on the phone.
Note: I can open the Excel file in Excel on my phone if I open Excel directly on the phone then select the file, just not from within Dropbox.
I think I figured out that is happens if the Excel file is password protected.
I used to be able to open it in the Dropbox app, but now it doesn't open. Please advise or fix.
Hey @rajma420, so just to clarify, it does work for Excel sheets that are not password protected?

I uninstalled Dropbox, MS Excel, and MS Word. Reinstalled Dropbox and let Dropbox install Excel. Same issue, when I try to edit the spreadsheet I get Excel trying to open then the MS Integrations message. My spreadsheet is not password protected.
And you're currently on the 340.2.2 version of the app, is that correct?

Yes, that's right. For the password protected excel files, I see the same issue that the previous person said above.

Hi @rajma420, if you access Excel directly, and try to open your files from there are you able to do so?
As for some screenshots, what happens after you see the message that @ijmolder66 posted: "Microsoft Office integration would like access to files and folders in your Dropbox"? Is it stuck like that?

No, currently the app says 340.2.4

I use Excel directly, the file opens after it prompts me for the password. But if I open the file from Dropbox I get in a loop of "Microsoft Office integration would like access to files and folders in your Dropbox"? Yes, it gets stuck there.
Hey guys, thanks for your patience!
We checked with our Engineers internally, and they have confirmed that this is an issue on Microsoft's end. On our end, we have informed Microsoft, as this needs to be addressed by them.
Thanks a bunch!
