Files are opening very slow in the Dropbox folder

Hello,
Suddenly the folders in Dropbox started to open extremely hard. I have to wait over 15 seconds to open any folder. I uninstalled and reinstalled dropbox but the same thing happens.
PC, windows 10.
Has anyone else suffered, do you know what I can do?
This has been happening for 2 days.
Thank you!

  • Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have been using dropbox for over 8 years and I have never experienced this.
I have free space, on other computers it works normally, but on the PC it clearly had a problem for 2 days.
I tried a lot of options, but I didn't succeed.
Finally, I checked which programs were installed/updated in the last few days and I noticed that iCloud had an update. Then I entered it and saw that it also works as hard as dropbox.
I uninstalled icloud and dropbox works fine now.
I can't explain it but I'm glad it works...

Hey Alex Andru, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community.

Did you recently make any changes to your hard drive or add a very large number of files to your Dropbox folder?

What's the current sync status of the Dropbox app?

You can see that by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

Let me know what you find.

    Hi Alex Andru,

Thank you very much for the update and for bringing this to our attention. Am I right in saying that you already had iCloud installed on your computer and it was working fine without any effect on Dropbox before it updated?

Thanks again, and have a great day,

    Graham

    Hi,

Yes, I already had iCloud installed and it was just an update to it.

I want to mention the fact that iCloud opened just as slowly. I checked this before uninstalling it completely.

In conclusion, I was saved by the fact that I looked for any updates that had been made since the dropbox started to work very hard.

    Thank you

yes, of course, do what you think is necessary.

I was desperate because I didn't know what was happening. Don't let others suffer if they have the same problem 🙂

Thank you, I wish you a good day!
