I can't open my Microsoft files when they're set to online-only.

Hi All,

I can't seem to open documents when they are saved on Dropbox. My files are set to online only. However, photos and other media does not have an issue. But office and pdf often encounter an issue where they don't open or the dialogue box just keeps loading.

When I move files outside dropbox, they open just fine.

Thank you for your help.

Set one of them to Available Offline and try it again.

Hi Rich, when I right clicked on a file, it only gave me the option to "transfer a copy"

However, I checked other folders, and I can see that option make available offline.

Is there a setting somewhere that I should fix?

larsd888, can you send me a full screenshot of the options you see on your end? I’d also like one more visual of a folder where you can see the “Make available offline” option.

I’ll be able to further help this way.
