Hi Everybody,
Thank you so much for reporting that everything is back to normal. Our engineering team implemented a fix that should restore visibility of photos in the Photos tab. If you're still experiencing any issues, let us know and I'll make sure that information is passed along.
Thanks,
Ben

Update: 10/7/2024 (4:21 PM CDT) Not long after posting my problem (above), I rebooted my iPad and found photos restored to my photos tab. My thanks to the engineering team for the fix!

And it only took FIVE DAYS and the Dropbox "status" page never even acknowledged there was an issue. Not acceptable.

Sorry to put a spanner in the works but this is not completely fixed yet.
It is true that some photos & movies have returned to the Photos tab but not all of them.
It would appear that it is now showing stuff found in the Camera uploads folder and its sub-folders but I am still missing photos that have been moved out of Camera uploads to another folder. Up until last week the Photos tab showed all media regardless of where it lived, i.e. from Camera uploads and other folders too.
Can anyone else confirm this is happening for them too?

In my case, both Android phones Samsung S21 Ultra and Samsung Note 8 started to display the photos correctly again last night without my intervention, seems Dropbox have solved at least the problem for me. ๐

Working for us on the IOS devices - website photo indexing is happening at a glacial pace - too slow to be of any use at present.
