Pro Res Video File only partially downloading

Hi, when downloading a Pro Res video file (69GB) the file only partially downloads but the download in my browser marks the download as complete, so I'm only getting half the video (31GB).

I've tried switching my connection and contacting my broadband provider. I've checked Windows for the latest update and restarted.

This file is downloading to my personal (free) account, I usually use my work account when downloading files. Could there be an issue with the file size, I could ask the sender to upload to my work account if that would help or is there another solution?

(Browser - Opera)

Hey gc_777, let's jump right into this!

If I understand this correctly, you're using our website in order to download your file locally to your device, but only half of it ends up downloading.

Can I ask how you received the content? Did someone send you a shared link, or something different?

If I were you, I'd also check another browser, to see if the same thing happens there.

Let me know of any updates!

Hi Megan, thanks for your reply.

The link was shared with me.

I just tried to download again with Chrome and I got a 45GB download (still not complete)

Hey gc_777, thanks for the heads up!

I'm assuming it's jump that one item in the shared link, right?

Is it possible that the link contains more than 100K items in it? Can you also try repeating once without any extensions running & see if that amends the behavior?

As an additional step, would you mind clearing your browser's cache & see if this does the trick for you this time?

Thanks again Megan, I appreciate your help.

1 - I'm assuming it's jump that one item in the shared link, right?

Sorry could you clarity what you mean here?

2 - Is it possible that the link contains more than 100K items in it?

There are only 3 files in the shared folder

3 - Can you also try repeating once without any extensions running & see if that amends the behaviour?

    Dropbox extensions or browser extensions?

4 - As an additional step, would you mind clearing your browser's cache & see if this does the trick for you this time?

Thanks I will try this. I would like to implement all of the recommended steps before another attempted download as the cap set by my broadband is 1TB / per month (I contacted my provider and I haven't reached my download limit yet)

Hey gc_777, I meant browser extensions, and after clearing your browser's cache.

You can also try an incognito tab while you're at it, that should be wonderful.

Let me know of any updates!

I downloaded again this time the file was incomplete at 42GBs.

As its ProRes the file plays but the ending is missing.  I really need to find a solution to ASAP I have a client waiting for work.

    Is there any other solution?

Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

Hi gc_777, as the next step, I’d like you to follow these steps, which will force the shared link contents to download from your browser. Does that seem to help?

If not, is there any chance the owner of the shared link can disable it, and send you a new one instead? I’d like to see if that’ll fix the issue.
