Sharing a PDF file from Safari to Dropbox on mobile saves it as a .php file
Hi when I try to save a pdf file from safari by using the share button it always save it as login.php even if I change the automatic option into pdf. I always have to save it through files or a different app

Hey KHAIR, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you clarify if you're trying to download this file from your browser or just share it or export it to another app you're using? Also, could you try another browser and let us know if you get the same results?
Thanks!
- KHAIR3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi Im sharing it not downloading it. Once I share to any other app it’s sent as pdf except for Dropbox. I have no other browser.

Hey KHAIR, if you want to share the file, I would suggest creating and sharing a Dropbox link instead.
Can you try and let us know if that works for you?
- KHAIR3 years agoExplorer | Level 4I think you misunderstood me. Im sharing from safari to save the file not to send from dropbox to someone else

Hi KHAIR, the Dropbox mobile app won't automatically convert webpage files to a PDF file.
You'll need to try saving it to your device first as a PDF, and then upload it to Dropbox.

Thanks for clarifying that for us KHAIR
Can you please let us know if this happens with a specific PDF file only or all?
Also, what is your device's exact OS version and the version of Safari as well? Have you tried a private browsing window with no plugins or extensions running?
As a test, could you maybe give it a go through another browser and let us know how it goes?

I’m having the same problem. Every time I open a pdf file in safari then click to add the file to dropbox it saves it as .php instead of the pdf file. I always need to put it in goodnotes first then from there into the dropbox. If Dropbox is not capable of capturing the pdf file then why does it appear in the sharing list? And this occurs to ALL pdf files on safari.

Hey Wissamgh, thanks for the nudge here.
I just tested this on my end and the file saved as a .pdf to my Dropbox account.
Are your iOS, your Dropbox and your Safari all updated to the most recent version?

This issue has never been solved, most pdfs are not saved as pdf. I always have to save it somewhere else then upload it. Suggesting update is never the solution.
