Transcript option not showing for videos.

Hi.

I am having trouble accessing the transcript feature in Dropbox. The Transcript button in the toolbar and the Transcript section in the sidebar are not visible on my end.

I've already tried:
Different browsers
Incognito/private windows
Refreshing and re-uploading

But the transcript still isn't showing for any video.

Is there a known issue with this feature, or is there something I need to adjust on my end?

    Hey XCzaaa​, let's see what we can find about this!

    When did you first notice this behavior?

    Also, could you clarify the size of the file and the type you're previewing, and if you've tried another network since you first noticed this? 

    Keep in mind that the video or audio file must be approximately 105 minutes or less to be eligible for transcription.

    Lastly, is the file inside your Dropbox account, or are you accessing it through a shared link by any chance? 

    Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

    thanks for looking into this.

    I just noticed the issue today. About an hour before posting here, I was still able to access the Transcript section without any problem. Then, when I opened another video (this one had a comment showing in the right-hand sidebar), the Transcript suddenly disappeared — not only for that video, but for all videos in the shared folder.

    To clarify:
    - File size and type don’t seem to be the issue, since I’ve previously accessed transcripts for videos of different lengths without any problem.
    - The files are in a shared folder, but I’ve never had issues accessing transcripts that way before.
    - What’s strange is that both the Transcript button next to “Edit a copy” and the Transcript section in the sidebar are now missing completely, across all videos in that shared folder.

    This started happening right after I viewed a file with a comment in the sidebar, which makes me wonder if the transcript view and comment view are conflicting somehow.

    Can you confirm whether or not you also have this issue with videos that you have saved in your Dropbox account outside this shared folder?
