What does the box with the arrow down do on the app for Android devices?

When you select a file, what does the box with the arrow down do? Downloads/imports the file? If so, I can't find the location of the file on my phone.

Ah, I see now; thanks for the clarification atdoan11!

This button offlines your files, which means that it makes your files available for offline access and they're stored within the mobile app's cache.

On your Android device, you can access these files using a third-party file viewer. You can also preview these files in the Dropbox app and open them with any third-party app that supports its file type.

I hope this clears things up and I'm always around if you have any more questions!

Hi atdoan11; welcome to our Community!

Since I'm not quite sure to what you're referring here, can you send me a screenshot so I can have a visual too?

While we're at it, can you let me know what exactly are you trying to accomplish so I can advise further?

    Thanks!

How do I attached a screenshot here? The icon I'm asking about is the on the top right hand corner. It's a blue rectangle box with a down arrow. It appears when I select a file.
    Thanks!
