Why all files in dropbox can't open?

All the files on my pc like this, there is a small yellow box attached on it.

Also, there is no dropbox logo on the lower right corner.

My OS is Win 11, my desktop PC can work well whose OS is win 10. Is this due to the OS?

  • Hi JYK0417, these don't appear to be Dropbox sync icons, and after some research might be related to OneDrive icons instead when using Windows 11.

I'd recommend checking with Microsoft support for more advice on this matter.

That is trying to open in FoxIT PDF - have you installed that on the computer?

Also if Dropbox isnt in the bottom its not running. You need to relaunch it or reinstall from www.dropbox.com/downloading

    Thanks for your reply!

I think the issue does not arise from the Foxit because I can't open word or ppt files either.

Relaunch seems can't work, and I am not sure if reinstalling can help because I found the dropbox can't sync several days ago, and I reinstall the dropbox still can't work. Now I have already reinstalled my Win 11 system and download the dropbox again but it even disappears from the bottom. Really confused me... My other two devices, desktop PC and Mac, or my iPhone, the dropbox can work well...

    Thanks for your advice, Jay.

I think you're right, it appears more likely to be a Win 11 issue. I find others in the community also encounter this problem and seem like it can't be fixed easily. So I revert my PC system back to Win 10 and my Dropbox can work well now.
